Where CalmDollar is ahead

  • A plan before the month starts. Zero-based budgeting gives every dollar a job up front, so you decide where money goes instead of reviewing where it went.
  • A free plan. The full method for one person, free for as long as you like. Monarch has a 7-day trial and no free tier.
  • Price. Plus is $5.99 a month or $59 a year, and Pro covers up to six people for $8.99. Monarch is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year.
  • Roles and the habit layer. Limited roles for teens, per-member attribution, and streaks and badges that keep logging going.

If you want a plan more than a dashboard

Plenty of people use a tracker to see the whole picture and a zero-based budget to run the month. If that sounds like you, try the method on your own numbers with a budget template for your city, then bring it into CalmDollar.
